For Molly 2010

So here it is. YEAH. my 100th post and I did it before the F'in ball droppped! yeh! I got Crimson and Clover playing and I've never been so happy to just be me you know? not anyone else to anybody else. Just me. I am going to attempt.. no scratch that. I am going to be me all the time. All the time. I'm going to always be the me that I've always knew I could be. and that is a promise. Yeha.

No I'm not going to talk about who I was or where I'd been. I'm still focused on the news of a new Xmen movie. Yeah there's other stuff but is it wrong that I find not many things as interesting as the concept of a new Xmen movie? Don't Judge. That is so 2009. I can't believe that somebody said I wasn't ready to marry anybody with their vote. Granted there were a couple. Like 57% of the people in my state that have the ability to vote. You guys are dicks. Fox is also a dick to my Xmen movies. I hope you make it up to me Fox. I also hope you make it up to me Maine. That is what I want in 2010. Freedom. you got to give for what you take- George Michael.. yeah the guy from the bathrooms.

I will just call this attempt number 1 as I'm not happy with her face. She is totally Sindel for some reason from Mortal Kombat. She needs to be powerful and not so scary. Ahh life. So many twists and turns. Is there anything I didn't anticipate? sure. Can I survive? yup. As you can probably tell from this post I need some sleep.

last day of vacation

Goodbye 2009. I still have 4 drawins to do to get to 100 before Thursday. I'll do it. I betta! right? This is my rendition of the Irish X man. I sympathize with him when he sometimes screams his head off. For the new year though I'm working on controlling my voice range and pitch so that it reflects the same clarity I have in my head. That's my objective anyway. Peace out.

So I'm home. Yep my studio is almost completely set up. The rest of the job is up to me tonight. I'm thrilled to hear that Bryan Singer came back to X-men even if it is a prequel. In respect to my favorite group, I'll be doing a younger version of the characters I'd like to see in the new movie. First up is the young leader. He will no doubt have a role, the question is will Patrick Stewart and if so-- will he be CG- enhanced the whole time? My vote is why not? As long as they work harder on it then they did that ending in Wolverine- crimeny it's not good to laugh at the poor effects of a movie intended to be serious. Especially when other effects were good. Okay enough ranting. I have a new house! I must get back to the studio!

95th post countdown to 100!

It is my desire to have hit 100 before 2010. I think I can do it as long as Fairpoint hooks me up in the new farmhouse in which I dwell. Yes I am a homeowna' Yayhooo! I have made the executive decision to house my new art studio in the basement. At first I was given the absolute best room in the house to stash all my art belongin's but it feels wrong. Not that I'm in to self-deprecation, it's just that that room has such flair and would best be used for drinking tea, reading a book in a recliner and staring out over the mountains. Plus people would go in and out of it and I'd be terrified that I'd spill ink. No, dear readers do not fear that Better Comics Inc. has found its poor misguided way into the dungeon of a musty basement in the hills. Instead rejoice! Rejoice that the depths of the earth is where the best ideas are built. The mind finds the most solace and imagination the most bounty in the deep black dark void. Plus I have a window and can check out the mountains every now and again as I listen to hard rock on my ipod late into the night as unfortunately it is also situated directly under the bedroom and I cannot have the radio full blast that late at night lest I steal someone's rest. YAYHOO!

I love powerful females. They are fun to draw and even more exciting to create stories around. I realize right now that I don't have any in the first issue of Lightning Duck and the Mega Mammals. I will need to rectify that in Issue 2 and draw some in the background at least. So I'm loving how the book is coming along but yes I'm sorry to say it isn't done yet. Neither is my house deal. It will be soon though and then I'll be further delayed by the fact that I need to set up internet at a new location! Oh no and on little to no money! I'll do my best to keep this site updated though. Say a prayer for me in the coming week!
