everyone needs sleep

I'm so sorry right? I hate that I'm so far gone in my not blogging regularly that I have made it an issue now. I need some recovery time. I haven't been not busy. The whole election is going on now and I've made it my goal to make sure NO on 1 passes here in Maine. One week to go. ON top of that I have to wait to hear about my house and I should probably stop drinking coffee so my heart doesn't explode from anticipation. It's not fair to the public at large though and the honest to goodness news is that my book had it's first show and it was a great success. I had a blast with Tim and Abby and it' great knowing that my first show is also in my first comic book store although the first time I ever went to Casablanca it was the one in Windham which awesomely still exists. Anyway it is totally awesome and great to have a book that looks like it was self-published professionally. Totally a great learning experience and making me realize how close I am to my dreams and all it will take is practice, practice, practice. This is a character from Lightning Duck #1. His name is BabyFace and he's a cold blooded killing harp seal.

Wahoo Show!

Hey all of you out there in the world. Yep still busy with Lightning Duck, but never busy enough. Again-- wishing for vacation and a time to have no thoughts but what goes on between me and the paper. sigh..You can probably tell it's a Sunday and it should be noted that it has actually snowed tonight. True it only really collected on windshields but it's been enough to upset as many people as it's probably made excited. Aaaah such is Maine. I'm a little nerve-wracked about this show I must say. I shouldn't be but I am. The week is likely to go fast and furious if I know weeks. Hopefully it's just a lot of good news one on top of the next. That's what I'm thinking and it makes me even more nervous. I'll just do some Yoga. Yogayogayoga. Oh my goodness that looks funny when it's just a big word. My major complaint with this weather is that it's so cold. I wish it could be beautiful and warm. Now I'm drawing into the night with no heat because the house is sleeping. Time to go dig out that space heater. Thanks for checking this blog!

creative pain

Soo much to do and I'm just beat. Beat I tell you. Oh lord, I need a cruise and a private room to get this work done. Truly artists of the world should be provided with everything so we may just sleep and do art and then be fed and exercise to make sure we are in peak creative condition. Yeah I know that's not going to happen but an artist can dream can't he? Anyway, I continue to work on Lightning Duck in time for a show in EGAD! less than 3 weeks! Also I must have Two Spirit Deal published again and that should be arriving shortly. Umm. Oh yeah! This post is the new strip I made specifically to showcase at my day job in their newsletter and it is appropriately named The Cube as my husband reminds me that is where I dwell to make the bucks while he gets to meander through the woods and such. Someday soon I hope to meander through some woods and draw them from my studio. oh the day is coming. yes it is.
