Yeah so I have been thinking about this post all day. What can I say? I'm offended by the ability of someone to vote my marriage no good. That's what it comes down to. You may think I'm just angry but if you voted against my marriage then you are a bigot. Plain and simple. You may quite possibly be a misinformed bigot that is more likely watching television than reading this post. You may be the victim of peer pressure or someone might have talked about this ballot measure here in Maine to repeal the rights of same-sex marriage and gotten so heated about it that you might've thought "hey this person is right to be angry. Gays shouldn't get more rights." Well the situation is unique. You as a straight society weren't going to "give us more rights" you were simply constructing a new sentence in the law books that included something that wasn't there before. Hey look, I lost the box for this marker, but it should fit inside this other box of markers just fine. That's it. case closed. You wouldn't have to think about it anymore. But you didn't. Despite the fact that no argument put forth by your side (you are YES)could actually come up with a sensical point--you still won because you are afraid. You will continue to be afraid and guess what? If educated gay people aren't fighting "terrorists" from taking over your country because you are more afraid of us gays then you are enemies of your freedom then chances are you should be afraid because it is more likely that you will die because of a terrorist plot than it is that you would be affected by my gay agenda marriage.
That's right you will make this country fail, because we actually care about you and you don't care about us and because of your lack of cooperation we have a better chance of failing as a nation and quite possibly as a world. Why? Because I failed once before in a debate in high school. I took on a guy that I admittedly had a crush on but who also happened to be uber-popular. I debated his ass off and I won the argument. Unfortunately I wasn't popular enough to win the war and he won the debate itself. My point is that you out there in front of your televisions waving your tea bags around Fox news have a much bigger problem. You fear and fear, yet you don't do ANYTHING but Scream and Whine about everyone else and because you are AFRAID to look in the mirror you cling to the popular opinion and blame what you do not understand-- people you do not understand --- people you have never had the courage to understand and instead you make icons out of Beck, and Limbaugh.
Do something worthwhile with your life and get to know a gay person. This is my rant and so I do have to go on.. I'm a blogger and I read other blogs and comments. ENOUGH with the people on the Civil Rights debate who argue about whose plight is worse. Yeah I get it-- don't tread on me, my ancestors went through worse than you could ever imagine. Well that might be true, but I'm not here to debate history, I want to change the world right friggin' now. So get off your high horse and help or get out of the way. And another thing-- all the "liberals" who don't endorse same-sex marriage. If I wanted to be gay I'd make sure that my parents were okay with it because their opinion counts. Guess what? They aren't "crazy" about it, but what are they going to do? They love me. I'm not crazy about them not being excited by my life, but what am I going to do? I love them. Everyone's rebellious sure, but why would I as a child of 12 consider running away from home above making a "choice" to just forget about my sexuality? I love being fed, and having a home, but if I was going to be honest then I was going to have to consider being shown the door. What 12 year old makes a choice to be gay knowing they are about to enter high school and potentially be assassinated psychologically by wondering whether someone was going to go too far in demonstrating what a pussy you are?
Lastly I just have to commend gay people everywhere as I can see by your inner light and happiness and your sorrow that you are among the bravest and most enlightened souls in this country. How great is it to know that we are absolutely right? That may sound arrogant but how else can you explain the inner joy that comes from doing the right thing? It's the same feeling you get from helping out in a soup kitchen! We are all beautiful children and we are truly doing our parents proud by HAVING TO FIGHT for our right to love. Honestly there is nothing more beautiful and hence, nothing more sad by our current loss. We know more than anyone out there right now how absolutely precious and special marriage is. We may have been one of the unlucky out there right now taking their love for granted. We know how special our love is. We now know too that politics are also very special, and we are lucky to have them as well. How amazing that we are able to fight for our rights in this glorious country as knights of truth dispelling ignorance from the lost and unhealthy? We demonstrate what is beautiful and good about human nature. The courage to be honest, the drive to follow through and combat grief with willpower. I love you all my brothers and sisters!!!! This pic is of a guy I used to draw in high school. He was so abused and war-torn that he was eventually left for dead on the battlefield having become a quadriplegic. That might be how some of you feel right now. I hope that some random aliens come along then and outfit you with zero-tech dimensional cybernetic implants like they did for him. His name is F.O.R.C.E. and you get a special surprise if you can guess what it all stands for. Cheers and good night.

1) great drawing.
2) great rant.
I read that the only successful argument in convincing people who don't care about care marriage is that "gay sex and lifestyle will be taught to your children if marriage passes." Silly and frustrating, but interesting that we may now know what our counter argument must be. We won convincing most people on "equal rights" now we must fight to convince them we won't teach gay sex to their first graders.
